(former supervisor)
President, CurrentRutledge, Seattle, WA
Stephanie Zimmerman has worked for us since
July of 2000. In addition to her many other jobs, Stephanie
served as one of our Final Cut Pro video editors. She was
also the person we turned to whenever we had problems with
Final Cut, or the video workstations. In addition to her editing
work, she was responsible for converting our final videos
into DVDs. For the last six months of 1999, she was embroiled
in a complete overhaul of our corporate web site, which went
live in February, 2002 (www.rutledge.com). She has a wide
variety of skills and talents; at one point we used her to
research options for funding a couple of documentary ideas
we want to pursue.
In her capacity as resident technical expert,
she has been responsible for maintaining not only all of our
computers, but also our local Ethernet network as well as
mail, web and streaming audio/video servers. She also designed,
implemented and is responsible for the daily operation of
our backup system (including backing up video projects from
three separate workstations). Nearly all of our computers
are Macintosh, which, prior to CurrentRutledge, Stephanie
had only seen, but never used. But she is a quick learner
and it didn’t take her long to get up to speed on the
things she didn’t already know.
While we no longer have the projects to support
Stephanie's full time position, we continue to call her when
we need her expertise. In fact, she still has a key and password
access to our network. If systems go down, or we have a difficult
editing deadline, we know we can depend on her.
